Today we feature: Geoffrey Adams (F/C 1909) became Senior Prefect in 1914. He was awarded a Demyship at Magdalen College, Oxford in 1915 but never took up his place. He was killed in action at Lesboeufs on 1 November 1916. Warden Selwyn wrote this memoir which includes poetry written by Geoffrey at school and in the trenches. The Richards Gold Medal awarded to Geoffrey Adams, 1914. The Richards Gold Medal is Radley’s highest academic award. Recipients were given a silver-gilt replica engraved with their name. Geoffrey Adams never collected his medal, which was found in the Bursary safe several years ago.
