The memorial contains an error.  There should be ten ORs commemorated rather than the nine listed above.  The original list as published on the appeal leaflet included 2nd Lt. Hugh Fraser.  He was only at Radley for one or two terms before gaining a scholarship at Eton. Lt. Fraser was killed in action at Spion Kop on 24th January, 1900, whereas Lt. Gen Woodgate was mortally wounded in action at Spion Kop on 25th January and died 23rd March, 1900, and not as recorded on the memorial; obviously the two have been conflated in the inscription.
