26th June 1916. Francis Fane-Gladwin, C Social, 1894. British Red Cross. Died in Cheltenham from illness brought on by his work for the Red Cross on the Western Front. At school, Francis Fane-Gladwin was a Junior Scholar, a Prefect and a member of the 1st VIII. His younger brother, Ralph, had been killed in action in France in 1915. Aged 35 |
